Fighting takes force. Resistance takes energy. Love is effortless.

One thing I have learned this year is that love is effortless. If you feel fear in any way, if you feel guilt in any way, if you feel pain in any way, if you feel need, if you feel attachment, if you feel heartache, if you feel lost without the thing you love, that is not really love. Love does not exist in the same space as all that. Love is effortless. Love is peaceful. Love is joy. If you feel anything other than happiness and gratitude in your heart, flowing through every cell, filling the universe, it does not come from love. It comes from attachment, it comes from need, it comes from fear, it comes from having a hole inside of you that you think has to be filled by something outside of you. Love is pure happiness in every moment it is felt and expressed. Nothing less.
