InWorld was outlined and began in 2010, but was shelved to allow Angel to be Greg’s first published novel.
Far into the future, our world is in chaos as the pain of Mother Earth manifests in devastating earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods. Her heart, the core, is dying and we don’t know why.
A mysterious portal is found, a way to get closer to the core than ever before. A brave team of scientists, lead by geologist John Rockledge, head deep into the Earth to find a way to heal her.
As they begin their journey, they find a fantastical world within filled with mystical, spiritual beings… and creatures of the shadows. John is separated from his group and befriended by Chrystari, a crystal being. As his crew struggles to catch up and find John, they are stalked by the darkest parts of the Earth, and themselves.
Along the way, other beings join the quest to re-ignite the heart of the planet, along with the hearts of all mankind.
